Troon Church of Scotland is the new congregation being created by the union of Portland, St Meddan’s and Troon Old parish churches. The new church, like this website, is very much a work in progress.

So whether you’re a member of the congregation, a resident of Troon, or are just passing through, please come in: you’re most welcome!

Serving

The Girls' Brigade is the sister organisation of the Boys' Brigade. We are an all-inclusive group open to girls from P1 upwards, of all faiths or none, to meet together in a safe and nurturing environment led by trained volunteers who are also PVG approved. The girls enjoy a wide range of activities to help them learn new age-appropriate skills. The organisation brings girls together to enhance their team-building skills through different challenges, gives them space to be safe and active through sports and games and, gives them a sense of achievement through badgework activities.

Playing

We raise money for a variety of causes both local and further afield. This session the Explorers are being “Ocean Explorers” finding out through fun, games and crafts all about the oceans.  The Juniors are trying out our new sports equipment and building a bug hotel in the church grounds – this will be part of the Irvine to Girvan Nectar Trail. We are in partnership with a local care home to give the older girls a chance to visit and bridge the gap between generations as they tackle the issues in their topic “The Circle of Life”
